Root Town Timbers is a team comprised of designers and craftsmen Peter Ossi and Sam Bruckman. Based out of the town of Root in New York’s beautiful Mohawk Valley, the team of Root Town Timbers takes on diverse and intriguing projects throughout central New York, the Capital District, and beyond.
Peter Ossi
Pete is a constant thinker and relentless doer. With a background in industrial design and ten years of working with his hands in every medium, he is excited to tackle any project no matter the challenge. Peter currently lives with his wife and co-designer, Christine, in a treehouse they built together in the town of Root.
Sam Bruckman
After attending design school in Brooklyn and cutting his teeth in the New York City design world for a few years, Sam moved upstate to the town of Root. He was drawn to the freedom and pace of life that could be found in a rural community. Throughout this time Sam honed his craft by doing freelance design work, making furniture, building several small cabins, including the treehouse where he currently lives. In his free time, Sam manages the gardens and orchards at The Root Community, where his treehouse is located
